As someone passionate about the creative industry, especially electronic music, throughout my life I’ve had the opportunity to attend and engage with various musical events. They all offer a high-quality experience, but each stands out in a unique way when it comes to promotion. For example, Elrow shines with its colorful themes and festive atmosphere, while Bresh is known for its varied music and inclusive focus. However, if we're talking about an event that combines all these elements and takes them to the next level, without a doubt, we're talking about Brunch Electronik. It’s not that other events don’t succeed in this, but the way Brunch handles the user experience is on another level.

On October 11, I had the pleasure of interviewing Marc Muñoz, marketing director of Brunch Electronik, where we talked about his professional career, advice in the music industry, digital marketing, and some recent actions taken by Brunch Electronik. However, I’ll cover all these details in depth in the interview piece with Marc. For now, as the title suggests, I want to focus on how Brunch’s creative and communication strategy sets them apart from the rest of the festivals worldwide.

Brunch Electronik is an electronic music festival held outdoors in various cities around the world. It stands out for its daytime format and accessibility to all types of audiences. Born in Barcelona, this event has become a reference point within the electronic festival scene, thanks to its focus on user experience, sustainability, and inclusion. Brunch isn’t just a party; it’s a complete experience that combines quality music with a friendly environment, activities for all ages, and a strong commitment to the community and the environment, offering something holistic that goes far beyond the music itself.

User experience is at the heart of Brunch Electronik. Unlike other festivals that focus on the fame of the artists, Brunch introduces the Open Stage format, where music is experienced more inclusively. Here, the focus is on creating an environment where attendees can enjoy music without hierarchies, generating a strong sense of community.

One of the key aspects that sets Brunch apart is its focus on emotional connection. Their communication campaigns don’t solely focus on the artists but on the entire experience: the atmosphere, parallel activities, the food offerings, and most importantly, the sense of belonging it generates. In this way, attendees aren’t just spectators; they feel part of a community, turning the event into a deeper and more meaningful experience. The success of Brunch lies in its dedication to user experience (UX). Every detail of the festival is designed to maximize attendee satisfaction. As a daytime event held in natural and central spaces, Brunch is accessible to a wide variety of people, including families, something unusual in electronic music festivals. Additionally, the festivals are organized in open and comfortable spaces, with relaxation areas, play zones, and a varied and sustainable food offering.

Everything, from the stage design to the overall atmosphere, is thought out to generate a positive emotional response in attendees, creating an experience that goes beyond just music.

What truly differentiates Brunch from other festivals is its focus on the attendee. While many events prioritize artist curation, Brunch puts participants at the center of everything. Attendees don’t just remember the DJs or musicians; they also remember the atmosphere, the emotions, and the human connections they experience during the event. This focus on the comprehensive experience has made Brunch one of the most valued festivals, standing out in a highly competitive industry.
